John Wall out for Game 2 with wrist injury

John-Wall-wrist

Washington Wizards point guard John Wall has been ruled out for Game 2 of his team’s Eastern Conference semifinals playoff series against the Atlanta Hawks with a wrist injury.

Wall fell awkwardly on his left wrist after making a layup in Game 1, and it was swollen pretty badly on Tuesday. It was initially reported that Wall would suit up for Game 2, but perhaps he tested the injury before the game and was in too much pain.

This is obviously bad news for the Wizards, who stole Game 1 away from the Hawks on the road. The good news is Wall’s injury is to his non-shooting hand, but he is obviously in pain if he’s sitting out on Tuesday.

Wall has been great for the Wizards so far this postseason, averaging 17.4 points and 12.6 assists while running the team’s offense.
