The NBA world may have to wait a bit longer for the biggest domino left on the free agent market to fall.
Cris Carter of FOX Sports 1 reported on Sunday that Kawhi Leonard will meet with both Los Angeles teams early this week followed by the Toronto Raptors, who will get the last word. Carter also called the New York Knicks an extreme longshot and said not to expect a decision from Leonard to come soon.
Dozens of free agents have already come off the board less than an hour into 2019 free agency, meaning that the teams Leonard spurns may have scarce quality options left when they are forced to pivot to Plan B.
As for the Finals MVP himself, one of his suitors does sound very confident, but his decision still appears to be up in the air at this point.
