Kawhi Leonard reportedly wants to be traded to Lakers
Kawhi Leonard has reportedly informed the San Antonio Spurs that he wants to be traded, and it sounds as though the star forward has a specific destination in mind.
After numerous reporters broke the news on Friday that Leonard wants out of San Antonio, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski added that the Los Angeles Lakers are the top team on Leonard’s wish list.
San Antonio’s Kawhi Leonard has Los Angeles — preferably the Lakers — at the center of his preferences for a trade destination, league sources tell ESPN.

Wojnarowski’s colleague Ian Begley was told by people close to Leonard that the New York Knicks are also on the short list.
There are more than a few teams who can offer a better package to San Antonio for Kawhi than the Knicks can (assuming they don’t include Porzingis), but people close to Leonard have expressed a desire for Leonard to play in New York, per sources. https://t.co/CTs0ISkKXv

If you remember, a recent report indicated that the Spurs are concerned Leonard’s camp wants the 26-year-old to be traded to a big market. Los Angeles and New York would certainly qualify.
With Leonard reportedly seeking to be traded to the Lakers, you have to wonder if LeBron James is destined to be wearing purple and gold next season.
