Report: Kenyon Martin to sign with Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to sign free agent forward Kenyon Martin to a 10-day contract, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein.
Martin, who battled injuries with the New York Knicks the past two seasons and played in just 50 games over the two years combined, worked out for Jason Kidd and the Bucks last week. Kidd and Martin helped lead the New Jersey Nets to back-to-back NBA Finals appearances in 2002 and 2003. They were teammates again with the 2012-2013 Knicks during Kidd’s last season as a player.
Martin, 37, was once considered one of the better interior defenders in the game. The Bucks have been left thin in their frontcourt with Larry Sanders working through some physical and emotional issues.
NBA teams can sign players to two 10-day contracts before having to commit to them for the remainder of the season.
