The Golden State Warriors have already announced that Kevin Durant will not play in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night, but there may be a positive sign about his potential availability for Game 2.
Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports that Durant will travel with the Warriors to Toronto this week.

Of course, that could just be because Durant is a member of the team and wants to be in attendance to support his teammates against the Raptors. However, some Warriors fans will cling to hope that it could mean Durant has a chance to be cleared for Game 2. If nothing else, it’s a positive sign that he doesn’t need to stay home to receive treatment on his injured calf.
The Warriors have not lost a game since Durant injured his calf against the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference semis, and they may wait to see what happens in Game 1 and Game 2. Durant would likely play hurt before he missed the entire NBA Finals, especially since he is looking to prove a point about Golden State needing him.
