Kevin Garnett attends Bucks practice in consultant role

Kevin Garnett tips cap

The next stop on The Big Ticket’s post-retirement tour? Milwaukee.

According to Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Kevin Garnett attended Bucks practice on Tuesday in a consultant role. The 15-time All-Star big man was also said to be talking with youngsters Giannis Antetokounmpo and Thon Maker.

The 40-year-old Garnett, who announced in September that he was hanging up his sneakers after 21 years in the league, had recently been mentioned as a possible coaching consultant for the Bucks among a number of other teams. Of course, Bucks head coach Jason Kidd coached Garnett for a short time in Brooklyn, where the 2004 NBA MVP was also teammates with current Bucks Jason Terry and Mirza Teletovic.

For the 19-9 Bucks, who have one of the league’s best blends of youth and length, having Garnett tutor their youngbloods as to the finer points of post moves, opponent intimidation, and talking junk would truly be sublime.
