Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love will not face a suspension for leaving the sideline late in the Game 1 loss to the Golden State Warriors, according to a report.
Love briefly stepped onto the court as a scuffle broke out between the two teams, but the league determined that he was in the clear on Friday, determining that he was only trying to contest a foul call and did not go any further once things escalated.
The NBA will not suspend @KevinLove for leaving the bench area in the closing seconds of Game 1, league source tells @YahooSportsNBA.

The league reviewed the play, and it concluded, effectively, this: Love stepped onto the floor initially to contest the Thompson foul call, and retreated to the bench when the altercation broke out.

This is more or less exactly in line with what Love said happened, and the league has clearly seen it his way. Now we have to wait and see what happens to the participants in the scuffle itself, but the Cavaliers can rest easy in the knowledge that Love is safe.
