Report: Kings not trading No. 2 pick to Clippers
The Los Angeles Clippers have a couple of intriguing draft picks coming up on Thursday, but they’re not enough to pry away the No. 2 overall pick from the Sacramento Kings.
The Los Angeles Times’ Brad Turner reported on Monday that the Kings are not interested in trading the No. 2 pick for the Clippers’ Nos. 12 and 13 picks.

The Phoenix Suns have the No. 1 overall pick and many expect them to take Arizona’s Deandre Ayton. That would leave the Kings with their choice of a number of talented prospects. Many think they will opt for Luka Doncic, but guys like Marvin Bagley III and Michael Porter Jr. should also be in the mix. Those players have All-Star and cornerstone potential, which is something the Kings desperately need and likely explains why they wouldn’t want to move down 10 spots.
