The Sacramento Kings are still not beating the circus allegations.
Monday marked media day for the Kings and a number of other teams around the NBA. But an unfortunate moment occurred when a few reporters for the Kings were caught dissing multiple players while live on a hot mic.
In between press conferences, the live feed for KCRA in Sacramento picked up a spirited conversation involving a trio of reporters (seemingly two female and one male). One female reporter remarked that new Kings forward Ben Simmons was “cringe.”
Another female reporter was then heard saying that Sacramento guard Zach LaVine was “cute but his personality f–king annoys me. It just seems like he’s hell of like a prick.”
Other further remarks ensued about the respective looks of Simmons and LaVine, including that Simmons looked “way younger” with “skin so smooth” and “no tattoos” and that LaVine was “hella fine.” You can listen to the full conversation here (but obviously beware of the bad language).

Simmons, 30, just signed with the Kings earlier this offseason. Meanwhile, LaVine, 31, is about to enter his third season in Sacramento.
The Kings are going into a dedicated rebuild phase after posting an unsightly 22-60 record last year. But this must be something of a Northern California thing as we saw a similarly embarrassing incident just a few months ago when a San Francisco Giants reporter also humiliated himself by dissing team figures on a hot mic.
