The Sacramento Kings topped Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets on Sunday, and while that victory doesn’t make Sacramento an instant NBA title contender, it at least gave the team a rare opportunity to celebrate.
Following the Kings’ win at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Calif., their social media account poked fun at the Rockets with a video of Durant pressing a buzzer after Houston triumphed over the Phoenix Suns on Jan. 5. The clip was edited to create a hilarious parody of Sacramento’s “Light the Beam” tradition.

It was a much-needed win for the careening Kings that also allowed Sacramento’s social media team to use a new material to troll an opposing team.
The Rockets entered Sunday’s game on a three-game losing streak, but Sacramento were in a much worse shape.
The Kings had lost all seven previous outings before the meeting with Houston. Somehow, they found a way to get it together and record a 111-98 win, with DeMar DeRozan leading the Kings with 22 points on 8-for-13 shooting.
Zach LaVine added 18 points on 5-for-11 shooting, while Malik Monk gave Sacramento ample scoring off the bench with 15 points on 6-for-12 shooting, including key 3-pointers in the fourth quarter.
After improving to 9-30, the Kings will look to stay undefeated in their current homestand when they host the Los Angeles Lakers Monday night.
