Anthony Davis’ agent made it clear on Monday that the New Orleans Pelicans superstar wants to be traded. According to agent Rich Paul, Davis wants to play for a contender, which has led to talk about him wanting to go to Boston or the Lakers.
But there could be another surprising team in the mix for him.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said on Monday that the New York Knicks will be aggressive in pursuing Davis.

Furthermore, Brian Windhorst said during an appearance on “Get Up” that the Knicks are on the short list of teams Davis would consider signing a long-term extension with.

The ideas of wanting to win championships and also being interested in the Knicks seem to be in conflict, but maybe Davis also just wants to go to a bigger market. Getting Davis would be amazing for the Knicks, but if they have to give up Kristaps Porzingis and/or their first-round pick in this year’s draft, that would make it a lot tougher to build around the Pelicans star.
Yahoo’s Chris Haynes, who seems to get good info from Paul, has mentioned two teams as being prepared to make an offer for Davis.
