The Lakers got schooled by the Thunder 100-85 a night after beating the Mavericks in Dallas. The outcome was to be expected for a team playing tough back-to-back games on the road, but for some reason Kobe seemed to be having some fun late in the game. As the Thunder maintained their double-digit lead on the Lakers, Kobe got into it with James Harden, who went 6-10 for 16 points off the bench. Harden outplayed Kobe who was 7-24 on field goals.
As for what was said during that long exchange, your guess is as good as mine. Sekou Smith says at one point Kobe told Durant “You talking ish now? You can’t talk to me. I’m a professional talker.” Kevin Ding says Kobe told Harden to back off for his own good.
Apparently after the game Kobe offered this regarding his exchange with Harden and Kevin Durant “Maybe one day they’ll be able to sit at my lunch table.”
Yeah Kobe, something tells me that will be this year if you two meet in the playoffs.
