The Boston Celtics’ slide continues, and the outside noise is getting deafening.
Sunday saw the Celtics fall by the final of 115-104 to the Houston Rockets in a game where they trailed by as many as 28. After the loss, Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe said that a fan yelled for Kyrie Irving to “go to New York.” Note here that the contest was played in Boston.

Though the Celtics are still fifth in the East at 38-26, they have been perhaps the worst team in the league since the All-Star break, now losers of five of their six games. Irving can, of course, become a free agent after the season, and the Knicks look like a frontrunner should he choose to leave Boston.
The six-time All-Star has also been noticeably frustrated lately, and all this losing will only make the Knicks chatter grow even louder.
