Kyrie Irving has missed several games this month because of discomfort he is experiencing in his left knee, and the star point guard is going to undergo a procedure in hopes of alleviating some of that.
The Boston Celtics announced on Friday that Irving will have a “minimally invasive” procedure over the weekend.

Irving had an MRI earlier in the month that came back clean, but he has screws in his knee that could be causing the pain. While he is reportedly only dealing with tendonitis, it would not be a surprise if he undergoes surgery during the offseason.
Celtics GM Danny Ainge has said that the left knee issue is just something Irving will have to manage the rest of his career, but the team is obviously hoping he can be pain-free for the playoffs.
