ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Celtics are confident Irving’s knee issue is nothing more than tendonitis and will not require the star point guard to miss significant time.

Irving has dealt with knee issues throughout his career, and the Celtics knew it would be something they might have to monitor late in seasons. Danny Ainge recently admitted that the knee ailment could be something Irving has to manage for the remainder of his career.
Irving has averaged 24.4 points in 60 games played this season. The Celtics are currently the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference behind the Toronto Raptors.
