Getting yelled at by LeBron James isn’t just for Mario Chalmers any more.
The Los Angeles Lakers star James had an animated moment in the second quarter of his team’s game on Sunday vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder. After a shot attempt by Thunder forward Jalen Williams, the Lakers allowed an offensive rebound to OKC’s Aaron Wiggins because Lakers forward Rui Hachimura had failed to properly box Wiggins out.
The Lakers ultimately lucked out because Thunder guard Alex Caruso proceeded to miss an ensuing three-point try. But Hachimura still drew the ire of James, who yelled at him after the ball went out of bounds.

Check out the clip.
In Hachimura’s defense, the initial shot attempt by Williams did take a funny carom off the rim. But he still could have done a better job there of putting a body on Wiggins, which was likely James’ whole point.
Ultimately though, the relatively tame dispute between James and Hachimura was a very minor footnote to the game as the Lakers went on to convincingly defeat the Thunder by a final score of 126-99. James had 19 points and seven assists on the day, and Hachimura also chipped in 11 points and seven rebounds of his own.
With the dominant victory over the NBA-best Thunder, the Lakers appear to be rounding into shape nicely ahead of the playoffs. Even so however, that was probably the maddest that we have seen James during a game since Darvin Ham was still coaching the Lakers.
