LeBron James sarcastically tells reporter he should be a ‘psychiatrist’

LeBron James

Answering questions after a tough loss is never an easy thing for a star player to do, and LeBron James has done a pretty good job of it throughout his career. During these NBA Finals, however, one reporter in particular seems to be really getting under his skin.

Following Game 1, LeBron walked out of his press conference rather abruptly when ESPN’s Mark Schwarz kept asking him questions about JR Smith’s epic blunder. Then after the Cavaliers’ loss to the Warriors on Thursday, Schwarz asked LeBron what was going through his mind when Kevin Durant hit almost the exact same dagger 3-pointer that he hit a year ago in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. James sarcastically told Schwarz he should be a psychiatrist.

“I actually think you should be, like, a psychiatrist,” LeBron said. “You just want to keep trying to get in somebody’s mind. That’s a whole thing, huh Mark?”

LeBron then said he was only hoping Durant would miss the shot so the Cavs could get the rebound, and Schwarz again followed up by asking him if he thought about last year’s shot. LeBron simply said “no” and moved on.

Schwarz’s questions have resulted in some members of the Warriors being able to poke fun at LeBron, but they haven’t really been unfair. Perhaps he’s just a bit too persistent for LeBron’s liking.
