The Orlando Magic on Sunday submitted their official entry into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Infamy with their atrocious stretch against the Toronto Raptors.
The Magic took a 20-16 lead over the Raptors midway through the first quarter at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada. A pair of free throws with 5:17 left in the period marked the exact moment Orlando’s lineup turned into a squad of Hogwarts Quidditch players rather than professional hoopers.
The Raptors proceeded to go on a 31-0 run that stretched from midway through the first quarter up until Paolo Banchero finally stopped the bleeding with a jumper with 9:42 left in the half.
The Raptors went on a 31-0 scoring run against the Magic.

Orlando went scoreless for over eight minutes. While even the best teams face similar stretches of offensive futility from time to time, few could match how ugly things got for the Magic in that span. The road team committed more turnovers (11) than they had shot attempts (7), which allowed the Raptors to pile on the visitors like they were the Washington Generals.
The Magic completely rolled over the rest of the way, as the Raptors crushed them by 52 points in a 139-87 contest.
Orlando head coach Jamahl Mosley has been on the hot seat throughout the year due to his team seemingly regressing, especially offensively. Sunday’s performance probably raised his seat temperature by several degrees.
