Marcus Morris has harsh words about Celtics’ chemistry after blown lead
Marcus Morris went off on his Boston Celtics after the team blew a 28-point lead and lost at home against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday night.
The Celtics got off to a great start, putting up a season-best 74 points in the first half. But then they sputtered and had a season-worst 12 points in the third and lost the game 123-112. Afterwards, Morris vented about how it’s not fun on the Celtics and it hasn’t been for a while. He called out the team’s poor chemistry.
Marcus Morris: "I watch all these other teams around the league and guys are up on the bench … they’re enjoying everything, and they’re playing together and they’re playing to win. And when I look at us I just see a bunch of individuals.”

Marcus Morris: "We’re going to lose games, but we don’t have no attitude, we don’t have no toughness, we ain’t having fun. It’s been a long season.”

Something has been up with Boston all season. They have more players and are deeper than last season’s squad, but their recent 9-1 stretch aside, they’re not playing nearly as well. They’re not rolling the way say Milwaukee and Toronto are.
This defeat marks their second straight blown lead as the same also happened on Thursday against the Lakers. Morris concluded by saying things need to change and he will even go to the bench if that’s what it takes. Oh, and top of everything else, Kyrie Irving hurt his knee in the loss.
