Matt Barnes’ evening ended early when he was ejected from Sunday’s game between the Kings and Nets.
Early in the fourth quarter, Sean Kilpatrick drove to the basket when he was met by Barnes, who committed a hard foul on the Nets shooting guard, sending him to the floor.

Barnes was assessed a Flagrant 2 foul, which carries an automatic ejection. Some felt the call was too harsh.
The NBA is a joke. An absolutely ridiculous ruling on Matt Barnes results in a flagrant 2 and an ejection. Horrendous

Matt Barnes just got ejected for playing defense

The foul certainly looks to be worthy of a Flagrant 1 at a minimum, which is “unnecessary” contact. However, the officials decided it was “unnecessary and excessive.” Thankfully, Kilpatrick was able to remain in the game.
