Mike Muscala is quickly shooting up the NBA’s cult hero power rankings.
In the Atlanta Hawks’ 116-98 victory over the Washington Wizards Saturday in Game 3 of their first-round series, the television broadcast caught a Super Mario tattoo peeking out from behind the jersey of the fourth-year big man.

Surprisingly, Muscala actually isn’t the first NBA player we’ve seen bless himself with the presence of the iconic video game plumber. But with Muscala averaging just 4.3 points on 21.4 percent shooting in 17.0 minutes a game this series, he would probably stand to benefit from a golden mushroom or two.
