Mo Speights: LeBron James put his balls on Draymond Green’s head
Golden State Warriors big man Marreese Speights does not believe his teammate Draymond Green should have been suspended for what Green did to LeBron James during Game 4. As far as Speights is concerned, Green did what he had to do.
Shortly after it was announced that Green had been assessed another Flagrant 1 foul — his fourth of the playoffs — and will be suspended for Game 5, Speights defended Green.
“It’s messed to suspend a man over nothing. If somebody put they’ balls on your head, what are you supposed to do?” Speights asked reporters, per Ethan Sherwood Strauss of ESPN.com. “Balls are on the back of his head. It’s kind of messed up man, but hey.”
Green was unhappy that LeBron had stepped over him, so he retaliated by hitting him in those same balls that Speights was talking about. You can see the video here.
Whether you feel it was warranted or not, Green has simply hit too many opponents where the sun don’t shine this postseason to ignore. Eventually it was going to come back to haunt him.
