The New York Daily News mocked Phil Jackson with a funny newspaper cover for Tuesday, calling the legendary coach “The Nutty Professor.”

The amusing cover was designed in connection to a story about Jackson meeting with Knicks players this week to talk about the triangle offense. That’s the reason for the college “tri” being spelled that way instead of try.
The triangle offense is somewhat complicated, so Jackson wants to meet with some of his players for a teaching session. Many of the team’s younger players such as Kristaps Porzingis and Jerian Grant reportedly will attend.
Another interesting nugget concerning this story is that interim head coach Kurt Rambis will be a part of the meetings. This is significant because it portends that Rambis may be in consideration for the team’s permanent head coaching job. A previous report said Luke Walton will not leave the Warriors to take the gig.
