Patrick Beverley calls Rockets out for lack of intensity
The Houston Rockets are locked into the No. 3 seed in the West, but the always fiery Patrick Beverley still isn’t pleased that they’re easing off the gas.
After the Rockets lost at home to the Detroit Pistons by the final of 114-109 on Friday, Beverley called out his teammates for a perceived lack of intensity, per Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.
Beverley on Rockets lack of intensity: "That was bull… We didn't come out io play. We didn't play together. We didn't defend."

Beverley himself only finished with six points and five assists against Detroit, though he did grab a career-high 13 rebounds. The Pistons were the first of three sub-.500 opponents that the Rockets play in their final four games of the regular season. Thus, it’s easy to see why Beverley, who has always been one to voice his opinions, doesn’t want to see the team get complacent heading into the first round of the playoffs.
