The previous meetings Ewing had with Georgetown were over the phone, per Woj.
Ewing is currently an assistant coach for the Charlotte Hornets. He has been an NBA assistant since 2002, the same year he ended his legendary playing career, which was mostly spent as a star center for the Knicks.
Ewing was a three-time All-American, two-time Big East Player of the Year, and a National Player of the Year during his career at Georgetown. He led the Hoyas to a national championship. The former center has the endorsement of many, including this NBA head coach.
