The LA Clippers and the Phoenix Suns really do not care for one another.

Clippers star Paul George had Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Klay Thompson as a guest on his “Podcast P” show this week. During the episode, George asked Thompson about an in-game dust-up that Thompson had with Suns guard Devin Booker last season. Thompson actually delivered a pretty mature response, admitting that he himself was just being sensitive at the time. You can listen to Thompson’s full remarks here.

Booker was not too pleased about George’s line of questioning though. In a comment on Instagram, Booker seemingly accused George of trying to bait Thompson into giving a juicy reply.

“Is that the answer u was looking for? @ygtrece” Booker wrote at George.

When asked about Booker’s shady comment during a video game stream on Tuesday, George hit back at the Suns All-Star.

“My thoughts on Booker’s comment?” George said. “I mean, he didn’t really say nothing other than, ‘Is that what you wanted to hear?’ I don’t really care, that’s Klay’s answer … I asked a question, Klay gave his response. That’s Klay’s answer. I don’t know what that [comment from Booker] was supposed to mean. Sorry a– response.”

Here is the video clip from George’s stream.

There is some definite history between the two players. For one, the Clippers and Suns have met in two of the last three playoffs (with Phoenix winning both of those matchups).

But if anything, it was Booker who was in his feelings here. George’s show, which launched earlier this year, is refreshing for its candid and unfiltered conversations with prominent NBA guests. George doesn’t even hesitate to speak out on the podcast about his own shortcomings as well as about the Clippers’ shortcomings as a team. But something about this week’s episode upset Booker, who has started feuds with other superstars for less before.
