On Friday, Derrick Rose sent the crowd at United Center into hysterics when he hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to give the Bulls a 2-1 series lead over the Cavaliers. Saturday, it was Paul Pierce’s turn to make a game-winner, and he did so against the Atlanta Hawks.
That’s two consecutive days players have hit shots off the glass as time expired. After Saturday’s game, ESPN’s Chris Broussard asked Pierce if he called bank. Pierce responded with, “I called game.”
The Wizards brought in Paul Pierce to help provide veteran leadership to a young team and he’s done just that so far this postseason. He got their playoffs to a good start by leading the team to win in the opening game of their series against Toronto and has been a consistent scoring option since. Pierce also displayed top notch trolling skills after the Washington swept Toronto in the first round.
