If you thought the introductions for Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett’s first game back in Boston were moving, wait til you see these videos.
Early in the Brooklyn Nets-Boston Celtics game on Sunday night at TD Garden, the Celtics played video tributes to Pierce and KG on the jumbotron. The videos were powerful and brought back all the great memories each produced with the team. For Pierce, it was 15 seasons of memories, beginning with the night David Stern announced that he had been picked by the Celtics in the draft. For Garnett, it was six seasons of memories, with the peak being the championship he won with Pierce and Ray Allen in 2008.
The videos were so moving, they left Paul Pierce in tears and Garnett giving a tip of the cap to the fans:
Garnett doesn’t usually show that type of positive emotion, so you know he was seriously impacted by the video.
