Anthony Davis’s load management for the remainder of the season is well underway.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Davis will be rested for Saturday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

This is the second game of a back-to-back and Davis has been dealing with minor injuries, so this isn’t exactly a stunner. However, the fact that the game is coming against the Los Angeles Lakers — the team that tried so hard to land Davis at the trade deadline — is bound to raise some eyebrows, and spark a few conspiracy theories arguing that the Pelicans didn’t want a distraction by putting Davis out there against one of his potential suitors.
