Reggie Jackson has looked like a natural fit in his first few games as a member of the LA Clippers, and he may have a particular TV show to thank.
After posting a 13-4-3 line in just 19 minutes during Sunday’s win over the Philadelphia 76ers, Jackson credited “Cobra Kai” for helping him understand how to view different perspectives, per Sports Illustrated’s Farbod Esnaashari.
Jackson, 29, entered play on Sunday averaging 8.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game in his first few appearances for the Clippers. The team is now 4-1 since Jackson arrived, and he has given them some enviable depth in the backcourt.
As for “Cobra Kai,” the popular “Karate Kid” spinoff on YouTube, it is far from the only show that has served as inspiration for an NBA point guard.
