Reggie Jackson reportedly traded to Detroit Pistons in 3-team trade
Reggie Jackson is getting his way and will be traded by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Jackson’s agent asked the Thunder to trade his client, and the team has obliged by dealing the backup point guard to the Detroit Pistons, Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Jackson was unhappy being Russell Westbrook’s backup and wanted to go to a team where he would have a chance to start. Detroit is 21-33 and has D.J. Augustin starting at point guard with Brandon Jennings out for the season. Jackson should have a chance to step right in and start playing big minutes.
The Nets were also in trade talks with OKC about Jackson, but it looks like the Pistons came through with the deal.
Woj also reports that Enes Kanter will head to OKC from Utah as part of the trade, and the Jazz will receive Kendrick Perkins’ expiring contract.
