As if all the drama surrounding Carmelo Anthony weren’t already enough, there appears to be another star Knicks player frustrated with the team.
ESPN New York’s Ian Begley reports that Kristaps Porzingis skipped his exit meeting with the Knicks because he is frustrated with the dysfunction and drama surrounding the team.

Porzingis, 21, was the No. 4 overall pick by the Knicks in 2015 and has looked very good since joining the team. He averaged 18.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and two blocks per contest in 66 games this season. He is the future of the franchise, and you don’t want him to feel unhappy with the team.
Beyond just the Carmelo Anthony drama, the Knicks had some very public issues this season. There were lots of questions about whether team president Phil Jackson’s beloved triangle offense suited the team well. And then team owner James Dolan and franchise legend Charles Oakley got into a public spat. All of that doesn’t help team chemistry, that’s for sure.
This report from Begley does not come as a huge surprise given what Porzingis did earlier in the day on Instagram.
