Report: Udonis Haslem expected to return for 16th season with Heat
Udonis Haslem has been with one NBA team throughout his entire 15-year NBA career, and it does not sound like that will be changing next season.
Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press reported on Wednesday that Haslem and the Heat have had encouraging contract discussions this week and ultimately expect to work out a contract for the 2018-19 season.
Udonis Haslem and Miami Heat officials have had direct conversations in the last few days, with both sides now even more convinced that he will return to the team for a 16th season — as the Heat have hoped. Not finalized yet.

Haslem has a very limited role with the Heat, as he played a career-low 5.1 minutes per game last season and averaged just 0.6 points. He’s more of a veteran leader at this point, which can be just as valuable for a team — especially in the postseason. Like his more accomplished veteran teammate, it seems like Haslem will either play for the Heat next season or call it a career.
