Rudy Gobert remains in the playoffs, but his girlfriend is out, according to a report.

TMZ Sports reported on Friday about the situation between Gobert and his girlfriend Julia Bonilla. They say that Gobert broke up with Bonilla just before the start of the NBA playoffs last month. The break up and request for Bonilla and their 1-year-old son to move out of his house came at some time after she revealed she was pregnant with the couple’s second child.

Both Gobert and Bonilla are from France, and Bonilla reportedly wanted to return to her home country following the break-up. However, Gobert reportedly wanted Bonilla to remain in the country so they can figure out a child custody agreement.

Gobert made his relationship with Bonilla public in Feb. 2024 to reveal she was pregnant.

She gave birth to their son on May 6, 2024. Bonilla had defended Gobert around that time after he was voted the most overrated player in the NBA.

“My partner is the most dedicated, focused, hard-working person I have ever met,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “He hasn’t stolen anything from anyone and deserves all the respect for his determination and commitment to his career.”

Though his personal life apparently is unsteady at the moment, Gobert’s basketball life is going well. His Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Golden State Warriors in five games to advance to the Western Conference final. They are awaiting the winner of the Nuggets-Thunder series.

Gobert is averaging 8.9 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game this postseason. Minnesota has won both of their series in five games.
