Russell Westbrook takes swipe at Kevin Durant over Warriors comment
Russell Westbrook had a drop-the-mic comment on Thursday in response to something his former teammate Kevin Durant said about the Golden State Warriors.
Speaking at a panel at Stanford earlier this week, Durant explained why he chose the Warriors in free agency. He said it was an easy choice.
“In terms of being a family, you can feel it when you walk through the door,” Durant said about the Warriors. “I feel really grateful to play for a team like that with a bunch of players who are selfless and enjoy the game in its purest form.”
Naturally, that remark didn’t sit well with Oklahoma City Thunder fans, because they took it to mean that OKC lacked those things. Certainly that’s how Westbrook appeared to take it. He called Durant’s reasons “cute” and also interpreted them to imply that the Thunder were selfish.

You could tell Westbrook was irritated with the whole line of questioning, because he said he wasn’t going to talk about Durant anymore.
The answer shouldn’t come as a surprise either given that Westbrook doesn’t seem to be interested in what Durant has to say.
