Russell Westbrook gets meme treatment for his embarrassing game
Russell Westbrook has not exactly had the best start as a member of the Denver Nuggets.
Westbrook had one of the worst games of his career Saturday in the Nuggets’ 109-104 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers at Ball Arena in Denver, Colo. The former MVP missed all eight of his shot attempts in 19 minutes of action.
The NBA’s all-time leader in triple-doubles tallied just one rebound, two assists, and two steals, with his only two points coming from the free throw line. Westbrook’s first shot attempt of the game, a fadeaway that touched nothing but air, ended up as a sign of things to come.

Nikola Jokic did all he could to try to carry the Nuggets to a win in Saturday’s contest. The Joker scored a game-high 41 points on 14/26 shooting. But his efforts came in vain as Denver’s bench did little to keep the team afloat whenever Jokic sat.
The bench trio of Westbrook, Dario Saric, and Peyton Watson combined to shoot 0/13 from the field.
Through two games with the Nuggets, Westbrook has shot 2/18 (11.1%) from the floor, 1/9 (11.1%) from three, and 3/6 (50%) from the charity stripe.
