Scott Brooks rips ‘selfish’ Wizards after loss
Scott Brooks was extremely critical of his team following an embarrassing loss on Friday.
The Washington Wizards lost at home to the Atlanta Hawks 103-97. Keep in mind that the Wizards are battling for a higher seed in the Eastern Conference standings entering the playoffs, while the Hawks are jockeying for a position in the draft lottery.
After the game, Brooks said their lack of passion was “embarrassing.”
Scott Brooks after the loss: "It’s embarrassing that we don’t play with the passion we need to play at.”

He also called his team selfish.
Brooks: "We're a selfish basketball team right now."

John Wall did not play on Friday as he is working his way back from a knee injury. Bradley Beal took 24 shots, while none of the other starters attempted more than nine. There was a lot of one-on-one play, which contributed to the “selfish” tag from Brooks.
Washington has now lost four in a row. Losses at Houston and Cleveland were understandable, but dropping games to the Bulls and Hawks are not acceptable for a playoff team.
