Adrian Wojnarowski stunned the sports world on Wednesday when he announced he is retiring from the news industry, and many people expect his longtime rival to be thrilled by the development.
Wojnarowski and Shams Charania have long been viewed as the two best reporters in the NBA. Both are very connected, and the younger Charania learned from Wojnarowski for a brief period when the two worked for Yahoo Sports. They had since become competitors, with some comparing their relationship to that of Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker in “Star Wars.”
