Sixers head coach Brett Brown gets three-year contract extension

Brett Brown Sixers

Brett Brown trusted the process, and the process is rewarding him.

Brown agreed to a three-year contract extension with the Philadelphia 76ers, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The new deal puts him under contract through 2021-22.

Brown just completed his fifth season on the job for the Sixers. He was the team’s coach when they began tanking for good draft picks in 2013-14 and has remained the coach despite them plummeting to a 10-win campaign in 2015-16. Things finally came together this year with a 52-win team that won a playoff series and finished with the three seed in the East.

Brown will now get to reap the rewards of all the tanking by helping to guide the talented Philly group for the next few years.
