Spencer Hawes sent Friday night’s Philadelphia 76ers-Milwaukee Bucks game to overtime with a ridiculous shot in the corner with 1.7 seconds left. He got the pass, did a turnaround jumper off one foot Dirk Nowitzki style, and made it. It was awesome.
Despite being a 7-foor-1 center, Hawes can actually shoot the 3-ball very well. He went 11-of-16 on field goals, including 3-for-6 from 3-point range. The big man scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the Sixers’ 115-107 overtime win. He’s made 49.1 percent of his threes this season and is shooting 53.3 percent from the field overall.
Hawes is having a breakout season for the Sixers and is one of the reasons they have gone from a team expected to be the worst in the league to being competitive. What a freaking shot
