Hammon has drawn interest for head jobs before, but she’s still with the Spurs. Given how Gregg Popovich feels about her, there’s some thought that she may be Popovich’s heir apparent in San Antonio.
Hammon has been a member of San Antonio’s staff since 2014. She coached their summer league team to a title in 2015 and has declined multiple overtures from collegiate women’s teams to date.
