Steve Kerr: MRI shows Jordan Bell has bone bruise
The news on Jordan Bell seems to be encouraging based on what was feared when the rookie first was injured during Wednesday night’s Golden State Warriors-Chicago Bulls game.
Bell sprained his ankle while landing on his left leg after going up for a block attempt on Chicago’s first basket of the game. He ended up being taken off the court in a wheelchair.

X-rays after the game showed no breaks. The MRI on Thursday was positive, according to Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.
“Well, it seemed a lot worse at the time when it happened,” Kerr told 95.7 The Game’s Damon Bruce on Thursday. “Everyone kind of thought he’d broken a bone, just based on his reaction and what he was telling us.”
“But the MRI was pretty good this morning — nothing glaring,” Kerr continued. “The X-ray was fine yesterday. So, it doesn’t appear to be more than a bone bruise, but bone bruises can be tricky to heal. So, we’ll see what happens, but so far the news has all been good.”
It’s unclear how much time Bell might miss. He has been averaging 5.1 points and 3.9 rebounds in 14.4 minutes per game this season for the Warriors.
