Suns, Pistons reportedly talking Luke Kennard trade involving Jevon Carter, Elie Okobo, pick
The Phoenix Suns reportedly are very high on Luke Kennard and talking with the Detroit Pistons about a trade involving the shooting guard.
The two teams are discussing a Kennard trade, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Monday night. Woj later said the Suns were talking about offering Jevon Carter, Elie Okobo and a first-round pick in exchange for Kennard. The Suns apparently envision a big role for Kennard on their team.
Possible package gaining traction for Kennard, per sources: Jevon Carter, Elie Okobo and a first-round pick. Suns imagine Kennard as a 30 minute-plus per game floor spacer to complement Devin Booker, Kelly Oubre, Jr., and Ricky Rubio. https://t.co/1iw2iqPmq2

Kennard, the No. 12 overall pick in 2017, is having the best season of his career. The 23-year-old guard is averaging 15.8 points and 4.1 assists in 32.9 minutes per game. He’s making 2.6 three-pointers per game this season and is a 40.2 percent 3-point shooter in his career.
Carter and Okobo only play limited minutes for Phoenix, so the big haul would be a potential first-round pick going to Detroit.
