A conclusion appears to have been reached regarding the gambling probe into Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier.
In an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” Monday, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that Rozier has effectively been cleared after a federal investigation. Rozier finished the season with the Heat, and Charania said there is “nothing really active” involving the guard.
“Terry Rozier, as of right now, has been cleared,” Charania said. “He finished the season with Miami. There’s nothing really active as of right now with him.”

News emerged in January that Rozier was caught up in the same investigation that led the NBA to issue a lifetime ban to Jontay Porter for manipulating games for gambling purposes. While there were some very suspicious moments involving Rozier, he was never actually disciplined by the league, and it appears none will be coming.
Rozier had one of his worst career seasons with Miami last season. He averaged just 10.6 points per game while shooting 39.1 percent from the field.
Just as Rozier appears to be in the clear, another NBA veteran is in the crosshairs of a gambling investigation instead.
