Thunder give Kevin Durant’s old No. 35 jersey to PJ Dozier
In case there was any doubt, Kevin Durant’s old jersey with the Oklahoma City Thunder probably won’t be hanging in the rafters any time soon.
Undrafted rookie guard PJ Dozier is now sporting the No. 35 jersey that Durant used to wear with the Thunder, according to Fred Katz of the Norman Transcript on Tuesday. Dozier apparently asked for (and got) the number after wearing No. 35 for the Dallas Mavericks in training camp.

Unsurprisingly, Oklahoma City hasn’t cared very much about respecting Durant or his jersey ever since he left in free agency to sign with the Golden State Warriors last offseason. Giving his old number to a 20-year-old rookie who just signed with the team days earlier is further confirmation of that.
