Leave it to Tim Duncan to get kicked in the nuts and go tell on Russell Westbrook afterwards.
Russ went driving to the basket early in the third quarter of Oklahoma City’s 117-89 loss to San Antonio in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals on Thursday night and launched himself airborne. As he was in the air, he kicked up his right leg and ended up delivering a Liu Kang special to Duncan’s manly region.
As Russ lined up to shoot free throws, Duncan could be seen and heard complaining to one of the officials that Westbrook kicked him in the nuts, which should have resulted in a foul call. Russ got the benefit of the doubt on that one, though Duncan’s team got the win. And Duncan also gets to go home to this, so he kind of has everyone beat right now. Of course, that could explain exactly why he was so upset about the nut shot.
