The Kings played the Wizards in a preseason game at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky on Saturday. They won it 124-119.
Lawson agreed to a one-year deal with the Kings in August. Many teams stayed away from him given some of his issues, such as a DUI arrest that caused him to miss some games, as well as other alcohol problems. He had been looking good for the Kings in the preseason until this. The team was expecting Lawson to start at point guard to open the season with Darren Collison set to miss eight games due to a suspension.
