Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton suffered a non-contact injury early in Sunday’s NBA Finals Game 7 at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Haliburton received a pass on the left wing and tried to attack a closeout from Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. As the Pacers star took his first step, his injured right leg appeared to cave on him.
Haliburton fell to the ground and began pounding the hardwood in pain.

Tyrese was later seen hobbling toward the locker room with a towel over his head. He could not put any pressure on his right leg as Pacers veteran James Johnson and a trainer assisted him.

The Pacers officially ruled Haliburton out for the rest of the game with a right lower leg injury.

Haliburton first hurt his leg in the Pacers’ Game 5 loss on Monday. He was held scoreless in the contest.
Earlier this week, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that Haliburton would have missed “multiple weeks” had the injury occurred during the regular season. But the Pacers standout suited up for both Games 6 and 7.
Haliburton was having a hot start to Game 7 before the injury. He scored nine points on 3/4 shooting from three-point range.
