Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton on Thursday was unable to finish Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals due to a hamstring injury.

Haliburton exited the contest at the 3:44 mark of the third quarter and did not return to the court at TD Garden in Boston, Mass. The issue was deemed left hamstring soreness.

Pacers All-NBA G Tyrese Haliburton — who is out for the rest of Game 2 vs. the Celtics — departed with left hamstring soreness, sources tell ESPN. Haliburton missed 10 games with a left hamstring strain in January.

Haliburton appeared to suffer the injury while trying to defend Celtics star Jayson Tatum on a routine play in the third. The Pacers guard’s left leg buckled while he was sliding laterally on defense.

Haliburton scored 10 points on 4/8 shooting and dished out 8 assists in 28 minutes played before leaving the floor for good.

Without Haliburton for the rest of the third and the entirety of the fourth quarter, the Pacers lost 126-110.

The 2-time All-Star suffered a Grade 1 strain on the same hamstring earlier in the season. The injury forced Haliburton to miss 10 games in January.

Haliburton went on record to say that he rushed back from his regular season hamstring injury in order to remain eligible for an All-NBA nod.

Haliburton did end up being named 3rd-Team All-NBA, which entitles him to a much more lucrative maximum contract extension down the line.
