Anthony Edwards’ point total wasn’t the only thing that he was flexing over the weekend.
The Minnesota Timberwolves star Edwards had a nice game on Saturday as his team blew out the Los Angeles Lakers on the road to take a 1-0 lead in their first-round playoff series. Edwards finished with 22 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists on four three-pointers as the Timberwolves dismantled the Lakers 117-95.
Video went viral on Monday of a profane moment that Edwards had with Lakers fans at Crypto.com Arena during the contest. As he was sitting at the scorer’s table, Edwards defended teammate Rudy Gobert, who was apparently being taunted by the home crowd. “He got $200 million,” said Edwards while pointing to Gobert (who is indeed in the middle of a $205 million contract).
Then when the attention of the crowd turned to Edwards (with one fan saying “Where your kids at?”), the three-time All-Star responded by saying, “My d–k bigger than yours” multiple times. Edwards also grabbed at his crotch area for emphasis. You can see the video at the link here.
The 23-year-old Edwards has had his personal life make the headlines over the last year or so, having been accused by at least one woman of being a deadbeat dad. But it appears that he has found a preferred way of firing back at that particular taunt of him.
Edwards has also proven that he never backs down from a trash-talking competition. Later in his team’s Game 1 victory over the Lakers, Edwards drew attention for his ruthless troll job on L.A. star Luka Doncic.
